One of our best social events yet… and it almost didn’t happen. I had an event scheduled at another location. To my shock, on Sunday(four days before the event), I received the following text. “I understand that this is very short notice and for that I greatly apologize. We will not be able to hold your company party here this year or any year following. I am immensely sorry for any inconvenience. I wish things had turned out differently.” I had over 50 people RSVPed, catering ordered, and multiple communications sent out about the event. Now I have no venue. You have got to be kidding me. It would have been easy to cancel. Luckily The Flipside helped save the day. With a couple of phone calls, and an email, the owner got back to me within hours and pulled some strings to make the space available. The event was still on! The social events are a big part of the network’s success. It’s an opportunity for my members to invite their significant others, kids, and/or coworkers. There is a different kind of bond that forms with our families are getting to know each other that is different when you network in a business environment. Simply canceling and not trying to pivot would have been a huge missed opportunity to further some bonds that happened last night. Thanks to all who attended last night. Special shoutout to The Flipside for hosting us on short notice, especially their staff Noah and Sheila who took care of us so well.

Was visiting from Omaha on a work trip. What a neat little place that can't recommended by the local pinball community. Pinball machines were very well maintained, large cocktail menu and Zoe was super cool and very in tune with all the specialty drinks. I just let her make me any drink she chose and they were all great. Thanks Zoe! Till next time. 🍻
