The Pinball Emporium (“we”) runs The Pinball Emporium website, a directory of pinball locations and the Pinball Passport game. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: premiergroupinvestments1@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account. We use your email to identify your account. Your name and photo are only shown to you (in the menu and in Settings), never on public pages.
- Your username: the name you pick when you join. It's public.
- Check-ins: the venue, the machines you played, when you played them, the condition you reported (playing well / minor issue / down), and any photo you attach.
- Machine scans: if you add a machine by taking a photo of its backbox, that photo is sent to our machine-identification service (see below). If you confirm the match, it's saved as your check-in photo. If you confirm a scan, we keep a record of which model you picked, to improve machine identification.
- Venue submissions: the venue details you enter and your email address, so we can follow up. Your email isn't shown publicly.
- Your location: only if you allow it, and only in your browser, to sort venues by distance and find the venue you're at. It's never sent to our servers or stored with your account.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting and service providers log things like IP addresses and browser type to run and secure the service. We don't run analytics or advertising trackers.
What's public
- Your @username, and the number of unique machines you've played if you appear on the leaderboard.
- Your passport page (stamps, venues, states) if your passport is set to public. You can switch it to private in Settings at any time.
- Check-in photos are public, even if your passport is private, and may show your @username. They help show what's really at each venue. Don't upload photos of people who haven't agreed to it. We remove location data from photos before upload.
- Check-ins (machine, venue, date and condition) count toward public totals like how often a machine has been seen, but those totals don't show who checked in.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase: database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Google: sign-in, and venue details like hours, photos and reviews.
- Anthropic: identifies machines from backbox photos you choose to scan.
- Esri: map images on the directory map.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Cookies
We only use cookies to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores a few small settings on your device, like whether you've answered the location prompt. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Children
Pinball Passport isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us at premiergroupinvestments1@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
Deleting your account
In Settings, Delete account permanently deletes your account: your username, Google name, email and photo, your passport stamps and your check-in photos. Your past check-ins stay only as anonymous data (machine, venue, date and condition) with nothing linking them to you, so venue and machine counts stay accurate.
California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and you won't be treated differently for asking. We don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. Email premiergroupinvestments1@gmail.com to make a request.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be noted on the site.
